RFIDsec Secure Protocol

RFIDsec's Secure Protocol (RSP) is RFIDsec's proprietary protocol.

RSP ensures that information is always communicated in a secure manner. All information to and from the RFID is protected by strong cryptography hence making eavesdropping pointless.

RSP is based on RFIDsec's unique one-step authentication, allowing the tag to remain silent until authenticated. This means that unsecured readers will not even sense the presence of a tag within reading distance.

RSP includes anti-collision mechanisms making it possible to process multiple tags in the same query round.

RSP includes support for advanced access management making it possible to control which entities are allowed access to which parts of the tag. This makes it possible to store data on the tag in a secure manner.

RSP has been designed to be compliant with EPC Gen 2 operating in the standard protocol custom command space. This makes it possible to manufacture tags that operates as standard compliant tags in some parts of the value chain while operating in secure mode in others.
