Consumer Privacy

RFIDsec was founded specifically to address the Consumer Privacy and Security issues associated with the application of RFID technology.

The Corporate aim is to design and develop RFID tags which have the ability to remain active throughout the full product life cycle, without compromising privacy or security issues.

The ability to use RFID tags after Point-Of-Sale opens up the opportunity for significant value creation. RFID is one of the most important enablers for “The Internet of Things”.

Current activities in standardisation and public discussions throughout the world are right now focused on the RFID Security & Privacy issues caused by the move from Pallets to Item level tagging.

RFIDsec believe that for allowing RFID tags to remain active after Point-Of-Sale, it should allow complete control of the RFID tag to be transferred to the consumer. The RFID tag should be able to remain silent, but still be active.

The complete transfer of control from one RFID tag owner to the next is a key element in the innovative concepts developed by Priway and the RFID solutions developed by RFIDsec.

By employing RFIDsec technology the RFID tag owner (including a consumer) can be certain that no information is leaked unintentionally when using this technology. This enables RFIDsec’s partners to deliver “ZeroLeakTM solutions” when implementing RFIDsec’s Privacy Enhancing Technology.
